Kamryn and her classmates (the pilgrims and indians above) hosted a wonderful, albeit early, Thanksgiving feast at their school this past week. We had turkey, stuffing and plenty of dessert, and after our lunch, parents were even treated to a show! We are very thankful for Kami's super teachers and all her good friends in her Kindergarten class.

California Dreaming
November has started out to be a month of blessings! My list of things I am thankful starts with a special trip to California to visit my grandmother, my aunts and my cousin and their families. The weather was perfect and the company-even better. We walked all over sunny Orange County and had some wonderful meals. It was a special time for all of us and I was treated like a queen the whole weekend. It was so lovely, I think I will have to go back often...:)
I was thrilled to get to be with my cousin Kelley and meet her precious family. Her three children are so fun and I can't wait to get Noah, Zeke, and Selah to Georgia!
A Most Excellent Halloween
We had a minion, a mermaid, a football player and a supermodel (or so Jackson claimed was his costume). But the award goes to Mom who pulled off a frightening rendition of Garth with her best buddy, Wayne (aka Alana) from Wayne's World. Even though you had to fall between the ages of 30-50 to know who we were, we had a great time and had a lot of laughs!
Sh-wing!
Least favorite part of Halloween...
Why is Kami in a bathing suit???
Taylor and Kathryn, the twin minions
The littlest mermaid
Khloe, world's most awesome dog.
Joshua's ESPN pose.
Happy Halloween Everyone!

A Sunset Cruise with the Scotts
We had the pleasure of hosting Uncle Scotty and Aunt Mary this past weekend as they passed through town on their way to Lake Gaston. Uncle Scotty ran the pool table all night, but taught Jackson some great tips along the way. Kathryn made brownies which we used to celebrate Uncle Scotty's birthday and Geof took us out on the boat to watch the sunset. It was a fun, relaxing evening and a treat to have a basement full of family.
Not Bad.
Homecoming
The community we live in does a lot things well, but they seem to particularly shine on the annual Homecoming weekend. It was complete with a parade down Main Street, a high school football victory, and a dance. Kathryn, Joshua and Kamryn were in the parade and Jackson went with a whole group of friends on Saturday to the dance after a rather elaborate photo session at our house. It was a beautiful, fun weekend and we made a lot of fun memories.
Another Teenager Is In the House!
Our sweet baby girl, Kathryn Savanna, has done the unthinkable and grown up on us. We celebrated our young lady by having a party packed with all her friends, lots of food and a cookie cake. We had a scavenger hunt, a water ballon fight and played "German Spotlight," which I think is a new and improved form of flashlight tag. Her friends are delightful and polite and we enjoyed getting to know them better. Geof especially enjoyed showing all the boys his guns and Ranger tab. I'm just kidding!! He behaved too.
The photo booth was fun!
Instead of gifts, Kathryn asked for a donation to her favorite charity. This sweaty, playful group raised $92 for LOVE 146, an organization that fights human trafficking around the world. Way to go, guys!
The iPhone collection...seriously??
We are so proud of Kathryn. You are growing up to be a strong, thoughtful, graceful and beautiful young lady. You are a treasure to our family and we love you very much.
Happy 13th Birthday Sweet Girl!!
Green, Gold and White! Fight, Wolves, Fight!
In case you were wondering what we have been doing this fall-I can sum it up in one word: FOOTBALL. This season is full of practices, games, and washing uniforms. If we are not playing, we are cheering. Every drive through fast food restaurant teller knows us by name, but it keeps us busy and we have a lot of fun!
Jackson is number 11 and plays for the 9th grade team.
Kathryn cheers for the 7th grade team and Kami is the mascot and gets to be with her big sister.
Joshua plays for the 5th grade team and is number 29.
Go Wolves!!
