National Voorhees Christmas Vacation

Merry Christmas from Virginia Beach!  We made the 8 hour trip to our hometown on Christmas Day and had an action-packed week with our 3 families there.  It is all kind of a blur, but I know we shuffled kids all over the city to spend time with cousins, celebrated lots of different birthdays, visited with friends and family, and ate constantly.  We stayed with Grandma Carol who insisted on cooking breakfast for us each morning and kept doing our laundry. We are so thankful to have so many people that love us and take care of us when we travel home.   We truly do have the greatest family in the world!

Grandad treated everyone to Dave and Busters to celebrate Christopher and Destiny's birthdays.

Thanks Darlene for letting us take over your house for a while!

Lori and Ted hosted our family for two huge, amazing meals and we had all of Nana and Papa's grandkids under one roof.

AND I got to see Tiffany and Mason! #doubleblessing

Ready for 2014!

Our Baby Birthday Girl

Kamryn Elizabeth is 6!  As she should be; being the youngest of 4 children has forced her to a level of maturity that is always a little shocking. She is more interested in when she can wear make up than playing with baby dolls, she loves Instagram, but not Disney Junior and she has an uncanny appreciation for a good pair of boots. Sometimes, it is a little sad - I feel as if she has been denied the joy of being a "little" girl.  What keeps us from believing we have ruined her childhood thus far? Her unbelievable amount of cheerful energy that makes her one of the happiest 6 year olds we know! She is funny, considerate and polite.  She is kind and patient with her friends, loving towards her siblings and desperate to help her mommy and daddy in whatever task we are doing.  Her favorite activities include cuddling with us and making cards that tell us how much she loves us and then propping them on our nightstands so we find them before we go to sleep.  Kamryn-you truly are our grand finale, the icing on our cake and you bring us more joy than we ever could have imagined. We love you like crazy, forever and ever...even if you do use the term "hashtag" more appropriately than we do.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

We celebrated Kami's birthday with a Minute-It-To-Win-It Party at home with all of her Kindergarten buddies.  It was a huge success and great time for her classmates to get together before the holidays.

It was a group effort!  It took Jackson, Kathryn and Joshua to help keep the games going and 20 kids entertained!

The piƱata almost ended in tragedy ...

Finally, we took Chick-fil-A (naturally) to her school on her birthday and had a fun lunch before going to Build A Bear that night at the mall and had dinner.

Whew...I'm exhausted.  Can this birthday be over yet???

I gotta fly to St. Somewhere...

This picture says it ALL!

Geof and I took a winter getaway to Saint John for a few days and had a much needed few days in the sun all.by.our.selves.  Loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back.

Caneel Bay is a resort on an old sugar plantation.  This is a picture of the mill ruins, which now is host to one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten, ZoZos.
