It's Not Easy Being Green

Dealing with your trash in Switzerland is very different than in America.  The people here always have to put their recycling and regular trash in different places.  When we went to go drop off the all the trash, we went to the bottom of the street and dropped that off first.  Then we went down the street further to drop off the glass, paper and platsic.  My dad and my brothers unloaded the recycling  and put it in the correct trashcan.  When we got there it was very confusing because all of the signs said what not to put in the trashcans and all of the signs were in French.  As you can see, even taking out the trash is an adventure in Switzerland!

So Kathryn, are you going to be fluent in French when you return in 18 months? Thanks for posting updates and pictures...loved the post on the grocery store too. This is fascinating and fun to experience with you!

Kathryn,
I miss your sweet face! We have been busy working on science fair projects and I'm ready for them to be done! It looks like you and your family are busy doing all sorts of interesting tings. I'm not so sure I'd be eating so much after looking at the pictures from the market!
Mrs. Wyman had her baby last week and she is so cute. She weighed 6 pounds and has lots of hair! I have made your classmates read your blog and comment on some of the things you are posting. They are especially fond of the pig! Enjoy reading and we are looking forward to your posts!
LoVe,
Mrs. Johnson
