Here is what I have been up to lately

Last week I read my aunt's blog (http://www.playingsublimely.com/) and she did a post on painting things that you love. So I painted a picture of a guitar.  I used acrylic paints on a canvas.  It has a verse on it "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD" from Psalm 100.  Kami has had fun painting too.

Also, I have started french lessons.  It is hard but I think it is fun.  The alphabet is hard because the letters make different sounds.  Learning the difference between masculine and feminine words is also confusing.  My french teacher's name is Madame Josian.  She is a good teacher and I am learning a lot. Josh, on the other hand, hates it.
Au Revoir!

Kami is using the view for her inspiration.

Viva Italia!

Genoa, Italy was a very fun place to visit because it was near a lot of very cool places and was a very historical place.  One of the things that we did was see Christopher Columbus' house.  We also went to Cinque Terre which means five villages.
The village that we spent the most time in was Monterosso.  It was also the biggest and it had many things to see and do.  Monterosso was one of the places that had a lot of shops and restaurants.  It was also on the beach on the Mediterranean Sea.  On our way back it was very cool because we drove through the Alps and in the Mount Blanc tunnel and that was very beautiful.

Old town and the Reformation

Old town is the historic part of Geneva.  It has a lot of historical things, mainly about the reformation.  Some of the things that we saw were the church of Saint-Pierre and in that was John Calvin’s chair.  The reason his chair is in the church on display was he was one of the major reformers and he spent most of his life in Geneva and is buried in Switzerland.  Also we saw the reformation wall.  The reformation wall is a monument that has relief sculptures of the major reformers and tells stories of the reformation during the fifteen and sixteen hundreds.  We also went to a park and played checkers with these huge pieces.

If the shoe fits, wear it...and the dress, and the bow, and the wig...

Kami had a great time dressing up everyday in Disneyland Paris!  Her Daddy even bought her the Rapunzel dress on the last day.  He didn't want to get the wig too-but as you can tell, we had to get the wig!!

Disneyland Paris

Disney is a fun place.  Kamryn’s favorite ride was a “Cars” ride.  Jackson, Kathryn and I all liked “Crush’s Coaster” the best.  We rode tons of rides.  We were at Disney on my birthday too.  My birthday could have been even better if we didn’t have to leave.  But I got to be in two countries on my birthday because we left France and drove back home to Geneva.  Here are some pictures of our trip.

The Lake...not Lanier

This past weekend we had dinner by the lake in downtown Geneva.  It was a lot of fun.  There is a huge fountain here and it goes really high up in the air and is a major tourist attraction in the area.  It was a fun night, kind of like being on the board walk in Virginia Beach, only with a bunch of Europeans.
We are in Disneyland Paris this week so we will write about that when we get back.

My mom said she was going to turn us into birds if we didn't stop acting up...I should have believed her!
